The only thing I can see happening if this goes to court is Zygor being ordered to stop selling his addon in violation of Blizzard’s TOS. His demands are laughable, especially the lost sales. I don’t think he has a legal leg to stand on, since you had Tekkub’s permission. And I believe the only part of the addon that you actually sold, and wasn’t in the freely available trial version, was your own guide files.
I like that Zygor guides saves you time and running back and forth by grouping quests together that take you to the same place, or places that are close together. This way I didn’t have to spend a lot of time traveling instead of leveling. Really shaves some time off of the leveling process if you’re trying to get your alts up to speed as fast as possible.
Ya, my friend has been keeping me up to date on the devious gnome’s (Zygor’s) actions. and he just released a “NEW” dailies and events guide and also a “NEW” gold making guide too. You should counter-sue because he is stealing your guides/ideas. In my own logic you are in the right and the gnome is a little bugger that needs to just shut up. And my friend that was using zygo’s guides has switched over. He says yours are FAR better in comparison. And I also think yours are the best.
2. We also note that Tekkub had published the source code of TourGuide on http://www.github.com. One of the terms and conditions of opening an account with GitHub.com is that by setting the user’s repositories to be viewed publicly, the user agrees to allow others to use that user’s repositories to take a copy of source codes from software programs and develop it independently of that software (‘forking’). A copy of the terms and conditions for GitHub.com can be found at http://help.github.com/terms/.
I dont know why i havent posted this earlier but i have been using Zygor for more then 2 years now and i simply love it! Worth every penny i paid for it. Speeds up leveling process and makes it pain free. And when your max level fun is not over and Zygor will help you every step of the way whether its Reputation grind, daily quests or achievements its brilliant.
Zygor Guides is an in-game software strategy guide for World of Warcraft. Every guide comes complete with the Guide Viewer, which displays step by step instructions of what quests to accept, how to complete objectives, when to use items, and more. Our gorgeous waypoint arrow will point you exactly where to go at all times and the model viewer will display fully rendered 3D models of NPCs and objects mentioned in the guide.
Starting off at some mid level? Come into the guide from any level, scroll through, find and click the level you want to start with, and the guide will take it from there. Zygor suggests starting the guide a level or two before your level. This is to allow you to work you way into the local quest chains. Just skip the chains for quests you didn’t pick up along the way, or the quests that you already did.
I believe that if, at any time, Tekkub intimated in any way that you could use his code, whether it was thru formal contract or an informal ‘hey if you want’ email, … from that point on, unless he formally requires you to stop using it, that you are free to continue to do so. At such time as Zygor gained ownership of said code, it would be his responsibility to use a discover process, similar to when you search for liens on a home prior to buying it, to make sure no one had been given prior permission to use it. Tekkor should have made Zygor aware of anyone commercially using his code, and Zygor should have made a formal request of you Dugi, to stop using the code, long before he took legal action against you. Lawyers put their pants on one leg at a time like anyone, and there is a reason everyone tells lawyer jokes. So just because he is using an attorney doesn’t mean he is within his rights. That IS a joke! And, he can’t specify an amount to pay, or ‘he’ll take you to court’. He probably screwed himself right there. And he certainly can’t prevent you from creating addons for a game he doesn’t own. Take a deep breath and relax. Just tell him you’ll ‘see him in court’. It will go your way. I guarantee it.

A handful of us donated to Whoknowsit to so he could buy ALL the upgraded guides for MoP for all of us. That was an investment into THIS community not into torrents or into any other. We want it to remain safe for us to continue to use. Whoknowsit is smart enough to know what to look for to take out Zygors' tracking info, but he knows he is NOT perfect. That is why he is STILL careful.

Less QQ more PEW PEW! You were the first guide ever I bought back in ’07 when there was no ingame leveling just pages upon pages of looking between web browser and wow which got me to 70 fast, therefore I didn’t need to look anywhere else for leveling guides. Keep your **** straight and keep updating the guide man; you’re doing a lot of people a favor by saving time, money, and the hassles of this game. If you get sued and your site closes down…I’ll have to quit wow because I’m not looking for any other guides to waste my time on or more of my life, wow takes that up as it is. In the word’s of Rob Schneider, “You can do it!”
So after giving up on being a pet battle owner, I jumped on the Stillpine Hold quest chain. It turned out to be harder than the previous quest chains. As a result, I managed to level up twice while completing it. I had to recover 5 sacks of Stillpine Grains and acquire 8 Ravager Hides while battling with Murlocs, Lashers, Infected Nightstalker Runts and the insect-like beasts.

Zygor Guides delivers on all of its promises. We did a comparison between other guides currently being sold that make similar claims and we found that Zygor has the better system, every time. The level of technical support factored into the decision to give them our Thumbs Up, but it was mostly the accuracy of their guide that won us over. Timing is key in WoW, as you’ve probably found out or will soon find out if you play long enough, and the Zygor Guides recognize that tasks need to be completed in a specific order or you won’t be powerful enough to get them done.
I took the Zygor Leveling Guide for a test-run on my alt account with a level 33 Warlock and a level 40 Paladin. The first thing I noticed was that the quests are selected for your class. I didn’t have to weed out any that would be too hard for the warlock to solo. The other nice thing is that you can skip forward on the quests. The Zygor add-on has this option that lets it analyze your level and it gets rid of the quests that aren’t worth doing and shows you only the ones that’ll actually help you level up. It was easy to get my Warlock another 15 levels in only a day of following Zygor guides. The Paladin leveling guide was even easier for me and I never had to do anything but let the guide show me where to go next.

Hey Dugi, keep your head up. Those idiots at zygor are just jealous of our success. Your customer support is second to none. I have been using your guide for about 2 years now and I couldn’t be happier especially now with the new patch that you guys released, totally awesome. Keep up the good work and in the end you’ll come out laughing. Good guys don’t always finish last.
One of the very cool things about Zygor’s Guide is that it’s automated. Not only do you not have to manually switch from game to guide, you won’t even have to click to the next quest. Complete a quest and the guide will automatically update to the next quest. The guide does it for you (usually, sometimes you’ll have to click to the next quest on your own.) It really is like having someone giving advice over your shoulder. Here’s the next quest, here’s what you need to get…

6. Even after Zygor’s acquisition of TourGuide, Tekkub is not opposed to wow-pro distributing TourGuide but completely against to what we have done when it is the same thing.  Arguments that this is because wow-pro is not a commercial or non profit website is invalid, the large amount of free traffic that wow-pro received is helped by distributing tourguide which adds to their profit of banner advertising.

I really want to start playing world of warcraft but I’ve been putting it off for many years now because I hear the game is massive. I only have about 1 to 2 hours a day to play the game and I don’t want to start a game that may need 500 hours to finish or to reach a desired level. I hear that these guides can give you the high level in a much shorter time and that might be the best solution for people like me.
From the information I have,  Zygor obtain the rights to tourguide in 18th  December  (incorrectly stated as November in the screen shot below) and intentionally not notify ultimatewowguide.com or anybody else.  So they can wait for 2 months to gain some sort of legal grounds for suing ultimatewowguide.com  and maybe others  for 2 months worth of loss of income (refer to screenshot below)

It’s easy to install the Zygor Guides, and they are an in-game guide, so you won’t have to keep averting your eyes to an offline guide, or switching windows so you can see what the next step is. Everything you need appears in the window right next to your character. You’ll need about a week to get all the way through, starting from level one and going through all 85 levels and then earning your Loremaster achievement.
One thing that always slows down the leveling process is choosing quest rewards. You’re presented with multiple choices and have to examine each one to make the right choice. Well with Zygor Guides 4.0, this process is made effortless with our all new Quest Reward Advisor. This feature will instantly highlight the best gear to pick for your character, or the item with the highest value if no upgrades are available.
I wouldn't buy Zygor guides. As a player since path 1.10 (around 7 years now) Ive seen a hearty wow community flourish through each expansion. I am a huge fan of the add on, Carbonite quest. It provides a pumped up version of wow's internal quest database. Also, its recommended to research your servers economy for making gold. http://www.powerwordgold.net/ is a great site for tricks of making gold. Pair it up with http://www.theunderminejournal.com and you'll be on your way to making fast gold to provide for all them alts :P
I'd say level this toon a bit more, maybe up to 30 or so, and see how you like the experience. If you find questing just a means to an end, maybe the guide would be a good buy. Me, I generally like questing and go to an area I'm interested in, even if it's not the most level-appropriate for me or the best way to maximize my time, so those guides aren't of much interest to me for now.
My own buddies in addition to When i ended up on round level 60 and stuck, therefore i bought the guide in addition to dived way up a number of amounts easily, My partner and i observed several other gamers commenting a similar to be caught on that amount. As soon as put in I maintained after that to help levels up very quickly, such as some amounts in a day. Pals / buddies asked everyone, how performed you pull off leveling thus rapidly? That has been our magic formula My partner and i informed them laughing. It is really probable to be able to level in place and so quickly by 1-80 inside one week together with Zygor's Instructions.
It seems to me that the assumption that Zygor was intentionally waiting is based on good logic. From the looks of that last letter from Zygor, it seems to me he is trying very hard to hurt your business. Were I you I’d file a counter-suit on the grounds of erroneous libel. The fact that they are wanting to settle out of court shows just how weak their case really is.
The part you need to understand too, is that the Zygor addon doesn't use an App like TSM to update many times per day your auction value. When i bought the gold guide i remember that i didn't understand much either, the results were random and from items i can't make much gold with. It just scans the auction house based on their most recent value update which can be days and days ago.
It comes with a detection system for quest which monitors your previous actions and makes improvements based on them. A directional arrow that appears on the screen will indicate the best direction. It is fully automated hence saves you the trouble of having to click when moving to the next level. By following the guide you will require fewer than 7 game days to move from 1 to 80. You can begin from mid-level and let the guide lead you through the next levels.

The best part about the guides, though, is that you won't be sidetracked by various other quests. For example, if you're a dwarf questing through Eastern Kingdoms & get that random quest that takes you to Feralas, Zygor will keep you on track by putting that Feralas quest on the back burner while you keep chugging through the main storyline in Eastern Kingdoms.

That’s where the Zygor guide came in handy. There was a mini Zygor viewer within the game that broke down the steps in the quest so I’d be able to accomplish it easier. Do you notice the yellow arrow at the top of the heads of Norciandra and the draenei Proenitus? Well, it’s the “waypoint” and whenever I clicked on the quest in the viewer, it pointed me to a particular path and showed how far or close I was to the quest. It turned green whenever I was on the right track and yellow when I tried to head to different directions.
When some guildies asked how i already completed it all, i pointed them to zygors. Another laughed and said you use a guide, i had mine a couple days before you. I kindly replied, "Im a player with a limited amount of time to play, i dont want to have to go to wowhead or another site in order to complete a quest and figure out where to go. I dont want to do a couple quests and have to figure out where to go next."

One thing to realize is that once you hit 15 you have a lot more options for speedy leveling. Right now (you seem to be level 9 at the time of this writing) you only have questing and grinding, which are inefficient. Once you get the ability to use the Random Dungeon Finder (often called LFD, Looking for Dungeon) you can queue for dungeons in between questing. Often one dungeon, up until 25 or so, will give you most of a whole level off the XP and quests within.

Was going to pickup a leveling guide. and going to take yours. was going with zygors but their prices is way 2 much for ally/horde ($60 usd) while u have a monthly subscription WHICH i was thinking of asking zygor if they had. after reading up comparison, urs seem the choice to pick. I tried their trial and using a guide seems awesome but they dont have good Multiboxing Feature (RAF) so Your Hard Leveling Guide would probably be awesome! You got yourself an customer. AT LEAST for minium of 1 month =)
It's all in the game. It also has a way to select what kind of leveling you want (professions, rep, titles, achievements, etc) and it auto loads. I noticed it skipped a lot of quests that I had already done "out of order". So it went from step 20--->33 or something when it saw I had done whatever. Also there are several options for the guide and how it looks/operates.

Every once in awhile the guide doesn’t update automatically. It’s easy to fix, though. Just click the next item manually and you’ll be back on track.  Originally various quests didn’t all update automatically, but updates have corrected this. With the updates you will likely find that the only time that things don’t automatically update is when hearthing or flying in to someplace.

Hi I’ve created this site to provide a review on Dugi and Zygor guides. After being a loyal Zygor customer for a long time, I have recently switched over to Dugi Guides. Why? Because in my opinion Zygor is letting their standards drop with their guides and Dugi is now leading the way with the best in-game world of warcraft guides. Don’t get me wrong, Zygor still has a great guide, but its definitely clear that Zygor is following in Dugi’s footsteps in an attempt to keep up.
I have tried it a few times. It's good if you're new to the game. Otherwise not so much. I found I leveled slower by using it, as it's suggesting to take the longest possible route usually. Basically following roads everytime, when you could take an easy shortcut. Especially if the shortcut involves a bit of fall damage, it's out of question. The "go here" spots don't also update if you take a shortcut, and then the waypoint arrow points to wrong direction. But perhaps it has been updated since then.
Now he's closing his project yet again. Leaving us all in the dark. Thanks to the few that have to "big men" in the torrent scene. I just hope that someone else comes along that knows what Whoknowsit does and is willing to put up with the egos and the BS in the scene to share the guides we all enjoy. Because all I've seen so far are a bunch of people stealing Whoknowsit's research and the donators' wishes to keep it in THIS scene and safe for THIS SCENE, who don't know what they are doing.
Disclaimer: Part 1: If you buy the guide through the links on this page I do get a cut. Part 2: With the guide I have leveled one Rogue from 70 to 90, another from 1-90 (yeah, two 90 Rogues,) a DK from 55-90, a mage from 1-90, and various others.  Family members have leveled an assortment of other characters, some with little gear, others with full heirlooms and Recruit a Friend (3x XP.) So I confess, I like this guide. We all do.
These guides are completely automated and work in-game, so you can see step-by-step instructions as you play. The guides automatically move to a new step as you complete the quests. You are told where to go i.e. the questgivers for accepting and turning in quests along with where and how to complete the quests. Zygor has more steps and details, which would be more suited to beginners. Dugi condenses the info into fewer steps, but still has all the necessary questing info.
Before I started buying ur guides, I was also a zygor customer. It disgusts me that they are trying to kock you out of buisness. I agree that this is complete bs. Out of all the companies I have bought wow guides from, you guys are the only ones to show exceptional customer service. You guys are the best that are out there and zygor should be the ones to go out of buisness. You got my support all the way. Keep your head up and you’ll get through this.
