I don't think you really understand what my concern with this is. I'm not talking about needing it now. I'm talking about just a fair shot for everyone to grab what they want. To me, a fair way would be to just let people make their characters on launch day. But with what they are doing, they are essentially using a "pay to win" approach to getting popular names. You have no chance to grab a name like Arthas on launch day now. So let's say you are a former vanilla player like me who has no interest in the retail WoW. We are now forced to pay for 2 weeks of subscriptions just to pick a name we want.

The World of Warcraft is going back to its roots with WoW Classic. Giving players the chance to return to the game as it was around the time of its launch, WoW Classic is set to launch worldwide on August 27. The Horde levels 50-60 guide has been rewritten and revamped.  My 1-60 Horde leveling guide is now completely updated for the 1.12 Drums of War patch.  As you can see it is about 15% larger than the 40-50 guide (single largest guide page yet).  There is also a lot of route changes.  I moved the entire Silithus section from level 55 to level 58, which allowed me to include a lot more quests for that zone.  There is also a lot of other improvement to the route, including adding a lot more quests into the guide, mostly from Moonglade, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.  This will make the final level 59 grind much shorter.
